Last night Michael Ausiello reported that David Anders will be joining the cast of The Vampire Diaries as Elena and Jeremy's paternal uncle, Jonathan Gilbert.
When I watched Alias I always welcomed Ander's arrival on my screen by saying (out loud!), "Sark, you sexy, magnificent bastard!" Still do if I watch the DVDs. So imagine my joy upon hearing that this sexy, magnificent bastard is joining the cast of a show that's already pretty rich with sexy bastards (Damon, obviously, and the short-lived Ben and possibly Alaric...). April can not get here fast enough.
