Answer Unsatisfying

Yesterday I asked Life Unexpected Executive Producer Liz Tigelaar (via Twitter) why Ryan didn't attend the dinner at the end of this week's episode, despite the fact that one scene prior Ryan was specifically mentioned as being part of the "family."



I appreciate the response but I disagree with their assessment of the situation.


All this Cate-and-Baze-only stuff is polarizing and unfortunate. Plus, I think they're missing their own point - they recognized that Bug and Tash and BF are Lux's family, why can't they recognize who Baze and Cate's families truly are? It isn't the relatives they aren't close to and can't stand, it's the people they've been spending their lives with up to this point.
