Happy Centenary To Me

This is my 100th post. Woo!

In honor of this glorious occasion, I'm relaying some good news I received today from my friends at TVShowsonDVD.com - Warner Bros. Home Video has FINALLY confirmed that they'll be releasing Everwood's second season on DVD sometime in 2009. In case you don't know, Everwood is about the residents of a small town in the Colorado Rockies and primarily centers on widowed big-city brain surgeon Andy Brown, his two kids Ephram and Delia and his small-town doc rival Harold Abbott, his wife Mayor Rose Abbott and their kids Amy and Bright. I resisted watching this gem for nearly the entirety of it's run (even though Bren told me repeatedly how great it was - I should always listen to you, B!) based on my feeling that Everwood was far too porn-y a title for anything I would want to watch. Then 1/2 way through the fourth and final season I watched one episode and was immediately hooked. I caught up with the entire show thanks to TWoP's recaps and it's ridiculously brief syndication on ABCFamily, and I own the first season on DVD which I've watched all the way through several times. But there remain episodes I have not seen from each of the other three seasons and so I am thrilled to my core that I'll be able to start filling those gaps sooner than later. Good on you WBHV (and TheWB.com as well who is slowly but surely streaming the entire series on it's site along with several other worth-while Warner Bros. shows)!

Also, EW.com's readers nominated some of their favorite quotable moments from TV and "Oy, with the poodles already" made the list. That, naturally, reminded me of Brenda.

Lastly, two weeks and one day from now (October 1st for those of you not next to a calendar) the new season of Friday Night Lights starts up for DirecTV subscribers, of which I am one. Thank goodness because I can't bear to wait until February for new episodes of the best show on television!

YEAH!! I was just lamenting to Ed the other night that every show I fall in love with gets cancelled! This discussion took place while I finally gave in and very sadly deleted cancelled shows from my Tivo's season pass manager. I can't wait for the EW dvd's to come out. RELEASE ALL OF THEM PEOPLE!!!

During this sad ceremony Ed asked...What will you do when they take GG off the air!!! GASP don't even speak such horrible things! OY with the poodles already!

Sorry to say I don't share your love for FNL...nor are we a dish subscriber...but I hope you enjoy! :)
