Grammar nerds should never, ever read comment threads on the Internet. I just perused the comments on a CNN story about that young mother who may or may not have sold or killed her baby...the sheer number of people who comment without proof-reading or even having a loose grasp on the English language make my soul weep.
Throwing around words they clearly don't understand, misspelling everything under the sun, repeating themselves, and generally having no regard for coherency. I really need to stop reading comments all together.

It is so true... But then again maybe you shouldn't read my comments too closely. I try to write correctly but I know I fall short so very many times. I would say I wish I'd paid more attention in english in school but it just all makes my head hurt. I do wish I could spell better though. I did well on spelling in school but it was always a short term memory.
