Last Weekend In Reviews

Monte Carlo - The thing you probably all know about me by now is that I like to watch semi-bad movies and TV shows that center around pretty young people doing crazy or stupid things and falling in love.  I adore the Olsen Twins movie, New York Minute, and not just because Jared Padalecki is Mary Kate's love interest (that doesn't hurt though).  So Monte Carlo is right up my alley.

It's not a great cinematic achievement and the story is ridiculous and silly but that's part of why it's so much fun.  Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy are charming; Corey Monteith, Pierre Boulanger and especially Luke Bracey are sweet and gorgeous (just as love interests should be in these movies); and the French locales are an eye candy all their own.

Does anyone care that the plot involves Selena Gomez looking exactly like a bitchy British heiress and then impersonating her?  No.  It doesn't really matter because what matters is that she and her two friends spend a few days being beautiful and having fun, crazy adventures in breathtaking places and then they kiss cute boys and we all go home happy.  If, like me, you're in it for nothing more than adorable fun and cute boys, this movie will delight you.
