I wanted to like The Good Guys the same way I wanted to like Happytown. I like Colin Hanks and I love Bradley Whitford and the 'stache is pretty funny but...I had only two good chuckles in the course of a one hour show. That's not so great when the show is marketed as a comedy.
It's boring and it's taking itself too seriously to be truly bumbling-cops funny and not seriously enough to be a decent buddy-cop action show.
The ratings for the premier don't quite support the faith that Fox appears to have in it (a summer run and a slot on their fall schedule?) so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
